Professionals often refer to the "Golden Hour" - the window at daybreak when the earth is cool and the dew has just evaporated. Harvesting during this period prevents the sun’s peak heat from prematurely drawing out volatile essential oils, which are responsible for a product's aroma and potency. Once pulled from the earth, the process moves into "Curing." Rather than using industrial ovens that can "shock" plant fibers, traditional air-drying on elevated bamboo platforms allows for uniform moisture reduction. This slow evaporation concentrates natural minerals within the root or leaf. Quality control begins here, right at the farm gate. By performing a moisture- conductivity test before the harvest leaves the field, one ensures that the raw material is perfectly primed for international transit and long-term shelf stability.
